∎ JOB PURPOSE: Reduction of malaria through analyzing epidemiological data as well as containing potential outbreak across malaria endemic areas under the Global Fund supported Malaria Elimination Programme.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Analyze the trend of malaria cases and assist in planning and implementation of the programme accordingly
∎ Investigate the malaria situation in the boarder belt upazilas and identify involvement of any cross-border movement
∎ Identify potential outbreak through analysis malaria cases and take prompt action through mobilization of resources
∎ Support National Malaria Elimination Program (NMEP) and local Govt. if any outbreak reports, investigate the cause and take initiative for containment of the outbreak
∎ Provide technical support to the entomology team of both Govt. and BRAC entities through analyzing the entomological data
∎ Analyze verbal autopsy of malaria death cases and guide the team on reduction of death
∎ Follow up the implementation of surveillance system as well as malaria classification to halt local transmission as well as any re-establishment of malaria in low endemic areas
∎ ·Support in proposal and report writing on malaria
∎ ·Contribute on updating of national malaria strategic plan and analyze the target versus achievement and resource utilization
∎ Coordinate with Government and different NGO; share the current/changed (if any) situation of malaria and epidemiology in both NGO and Govt level meetings.
∎ SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES:
∎ Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 03 years of experience on public health sector preferably in communicable diseases.
∎ Proficient in SPSS ,MS Office, email & internet browsing
∎ Good knowledge in epidemiology diseases
∎ Strong interpersonal and communication skills
∎ Sound knowledge in National Strategic Plan development, Performance Framework (PF)
∎ Experience in dealing with donor , NGO partners .
