Educational Requirements:
∎ MBBS with MPH from any recognised university/ institution.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 6 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Promote government ownership and stewardship of implementing TB Preventive Therapy (TPT) & DR TB activities
∎ Coordinated planning with NTP in support of the transition towards government stewardship of key programme activities
∎ Strengthen government health system and make functional for TPT & DR TB diagnosis and management services
∎ Contribute in developing TPT & DR TB national strategy, guideline, SoP, implementation plan, reporting and training manuals
∎ Contribute in forecasting, quantification and supply chain of DR TB and TPT
∎ Identifying training needs and building capacity of staff and medical professionals on TPT and DR TB under the guidance of NTP
∎ Implement TPT pilot and roll out expansion plan throughout the country under the guidance of NTP
∎ Support National TB Programme for implementation of TPT & DR TB guideline and SoP throughout the country
∎ Conduct regular supervision and monitoring of TPT & DR TB interventions throughout the country extensively, identify challenges and opportunities in coordination with NTP to adjust the strategy/ implementation accordingly
∎ Contribute in developing project proposals/ funding requests and other related documents on TPT & DR TB in collaboration with NTP
∎ Support and collaborate with NTP, Global Fund, LFA, WHO, other donors and other technical partners for implementation, data verification and reporting
∎ Ensure proper recording and recording at filed offices and health facilities
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 06 years' experience in public health including 3 years in health management. Candidates having experience in TB and/ HIV will be an added advantage.
∎ Knowledge on health system and health management in Bangladesh
∎ Knowledge on TPT and DR-TB and ability to build skills/ capacity in this regard
∎ Excellent skills in planning and work plan implementation
∎ Excellent communication, presentation, report writing and negotiation skills
∎ Problem solving and decision making skills
∎ Skills in supply chain management, M&E and data verification
∎ Excellent English communication skills both oral and written
∎ Strong written and verbal communication skills both in Bengali and English
∎ Excellent computer skills with all Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, Power Point)
