Job Context:
∎ JOB PURPOSE: This position is responsible for assisting in implementing organization and program MEAL system, tools and guidelines. S/he is responsible for collecting information from programs for activity/ output/ outcome monitoring. S/he is also responsible to ensures quality of data and, support district level program personnel to improve quality of program. S/he is responsible for implementing accountability and learning activities at the field level. S/he is the primary liaison between program and BRAC MEAL at the field level and is also responsible for coordinating and providing technical assistance to the program teams in the areas of monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning.
∎ SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES
∎ Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme`s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Assist in developing methodology and tools for different assessments (e.g. data quality assessment, programme quality assessment, and other assessments based on organisational needs).
∎ Assist in developing survey guidelines and converting data collection tools in Open Data Kit (ODK) Software/ KoBo Toolbox.
∎ Prepare field plans and conduct data collection following the set guidelines for surveys focusing on data quality.
∎ Collect data as per questionnaires designed in Open Data Kit (ODK) Software/ KoBo Toolbox by using smartphone or tab, and review and submit to the server within timeline.
∎ Look for additional observations, check on the quality of questions etc. and provide feedback to Manager - MEAL.
∎ Keep a summary of monitoring findings using the prescribed format and immediately share it with the concerned programme staff of the visited branch.
∎ Assist in data cleaning, analysis, presentation, and report preparation.
∎ Conduct MEAL findings sharing session at the field level with the respective programme team.
∎ Work closely with programme team to implement MEAL activities at the field
∎ Carry out regular field visits to capture and document learnings of programmes and ensure proper dissemination at branch/district level
∎ Complete any other MEAL-related activities assigned by Manager - MEAL.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Good communication skills
∎ ICT skill (MS Word and Excel, PowerPoint, internet, data entry in tab-based formats)
∎ Knowledge on Monitoring and Evaluation tools and techniques - including RF, LogFrame, MEAL plan, indicator reference sheet,project cycle management etc.
∎ Knowledge in data collection techniques and sampling methodology and monitoring concepts
∎ Self-motivated, amiable, able to mingle in various cultures
∎ Result oriented, able to work under tight deadlines
∎ Able to travel anywhere in Bangladesh
∎ Minimum 1 years' of working experience in the relevant field
