Educational Requirements:

Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Senior Officer- Knowledge Management will closely work with the Anticipatory Action programme, Technical and Implementing partners to achieve result-oriented high-quality field operations. S/he will provide technical guidance and programmatic support and ensure the overall implementation of the Forecast-based Action (FbA)projects. S/he will ensure effective communication and coordination with technical partners RIMES and Forewarn for forecast monitoring, interpretation, and analysis, setting anticipatory action triggers and threshold mechanisms for multi-hazard to establish national protocols.
∎ The position holder has to maintain collaboration liaison with Local Government line departments, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD), the Department of Disaster Management (DDM), the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Livelihood, the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief(MoDMR), START Network, BDRCS, FAO, WFP-lead OCHA AA response Consortium, STEP and SUFAL consortium, Forecast Based Action (FbA) working group in the country, Anticipation HUB platform, Youth and Children forum and networks, DRR/CCA/ AA National actors .S/he will collect and share best practices and learning evidence in Anticipation HUB to promote Save the Children Bangladesh Anticipatory Action initiatives with national/global audiences after Scaling-up Anticipatory Action for Flood Prone Areas in Bangladesh in the northern district of Bangladesh / similar projects of Save the Children Bangladesh. The position will be responsible for quality donor report writing, rolling out the communication and advocacy strategy, MEAL framework for the Anticipatory Action programme, and managing early warning message dissemination/campaigns products by maintaining organization branding and visibility. The Senior Officer-KM will be accountable for enhancing SC BD's capacity to demonstrate the Forecast Based Action (FbA) and new proposal development and be ready to support any emergency projects/sectors as per the organization's needs.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 5-6 years of professional experience, preferably in Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Climate Change Adaptation (CCA), Emergency response, Recovery and Anticipatory Action programme.
∎ Working experience as a Knowledge Management professional, Analyst, and Researcher would be added value.
∎ Well, understanding and knowledge of Humanitarian Architecture, National/ Global drivers of DRR, CCA, Anticipatory Action, Emergency, and social development programming.
∎ Strong report writing and communication skills and ability to write clearly and concisely.
∎ Experience in content development and audio-visual documentation.
∎ Having Strong coordination, negotiation, mobilizing and facilitation skills.
∎ Ability to support and encouragement of knowledge sharing across the projects as a team player and capacity to portray great innovation,
∎ Financial/budget management skills.
∎ Strong management and supervision skills have proven facilitation and training capacity.
∎ Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
