Education:
  • Master's degree in Development Studies, Social Sciences, Public Health, Social Work, Management, or any relevant discipline.
  • Additional training in Project Management, MEAL, Proposal Development, or NGO Management will be considered an advantage.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in the NGO/Development Sector.
  • At least 7 years of experience in project/program management or a supervisory role.
  • Experience in donor-funded projects will be highly preferred.
  • UK AID, US AID, DFAT project experience

Additional Requirements

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent project planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting abilities.
  • Sound knowledge of project cycle management and donor compliance.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Excellent report writing skills in both Bangla and English.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel extensively to project locations.

Job Context

AMAN is a national non-government development organization working to improve the lives of vulnerable and marginalized communities through health, education, livelihood, social protection, climate resilience, and community development initiatives.

We are seeking a dynamic, experienced, and results-oriented Program Manager to lead and oversee the overall management, implementation, monitoring, and strategic development of the organization's projects and programs. The successful candidate will provide leadership to project teams, ensure quality program delivery, maintain donor compliance, and contribute to organizational growth.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide overall leadership, coordination, and management of organizational projects and programs.
  • Develop and oversee the implementation of annual, quarterly, and monthly work plans.
  • Supervise project staff, ensuring effective performance, technical support, and capacity development.
  • Ensure project implementation aligns with organizational goals, donor requirements, and approved plans.
  • Monitor project progress, quality, and results, and lead MEAL activities for evidence-based decision-making.
  • Prepare and review project reports, donor reports, and program documentation.
  • Coordinate with finance, administration, donors, partners, and stakeholders for effective program delivery.
  • Conduct field visits, manage risks, support resource mobilization, proposal development, and organizational growth initiatives.
