At least a Bachelor’s Degree with relevant experience in Merchandising.BS.c in Textile Engineering / Apparel Merchandising will get an extra advantage.

Responsibilities & Context:

  • Strong communication skills with international buyers

  • Ability to handle multiple orders under pressure

  • Good knowledge of garments production

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Email communication)

  • Must be proactive, responsible, and deadline-oriented

  • Depth knowledge and practical experience on product costing, Raw material sourcing & connection with supplier base.

  • Able to maintain Time & Action (T&A) plan for both with customer and with Vendor.

  • Must have sound knowledge about product consumption, costing & pricing process/procedure.

  • Must have good command over fluent English speaking and writing, MS Office, ERP. PPT, graphics, etc.

  • Candidates must be proactive and creative in order to formulate/implement efficient & effective business techniques.


Responsibilities & Context

We are looking for a dynamic, experienced, & talent personnel for immediate appointment for our organization as Merchandiser / Sr. Merchandiser position who has solid experience in the Buying / Sourcing office.

  • Work closely with vendor for procurement of raw materials and their Planning Dept to ensure smooth supply chain of all raw materials, timely production, final inspection, and On Time Delivery.

  • Work closely with production, quality control / QA Team to take care of all aspects of quality from initial to final stage and ensure best final product.

  • Handle sample development and approval process efficiently to the satisfaction of the customers.

  • Customer / Order handling independently and run a team of 2-3 members of Merchandisers and Assistant Merchandisers.

  • Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Reporting in writing to reporting boss.


Core Responsibilities

1. Buyer Handling & Order Management

  • Communicate with buyers regarding product development, pricing, and order execution.

  • Receive and review purchase orders (POs), tech packs, and buyer requirements.

  • Negotiate prices, delivery schedules, and product specifications.

  • Build and maintain strong buyer relationships.

2. Product Development

  • Coordinate sample development (Proto, Fit, Size Set, PP, TOP samples).

  • Follow up on sample approvals and buyer comments.

  • Work closely with design, pattern, and technical teams.

3. Costing & Price Negotiation

  • Prepare accurate garment costing sheets.

  • Analyze fabric consumption, trims, washing, printing, embroidery, and CM costs.

  • Negotiate with buyers to achieve target margins.

  • Monitor profitability throughout the order cycle.

4. Fabric & Trim Sourcing

  • Source fabrics, trims, accessories, and packaging materials.

  • Coordinate with local and overseas suppliers.

  • Ensure timely material booking and delivery.

  • Monitor material quality and compliance requirements.

5. Production Coordination

  • Develop and maintain Time & Action (T&A) plans.

  • Coordinate with production, planning, and industrial engineering teams.

  • Track production status and identify potential delays.

  • Ensure production runs according to approved standards.

6. Quality & Compliance Management

  • Work with QA/QC teams to ensure buyer quality standards are met.

  • Monitor inspections and testing requirements.

  • Ensure compliance with buyer codes of conduct and factory standards.

  • Resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.

7. Shipment & Commercial Coordination

  • Coordinate with commercial, logistics, and shipping departments.

  • Ensure shipment bookings are completed on time.

  • Verify shipping documents, packing lists, and invoices.

  • Follow up on shipment schedules and buyer delivery requirements.

8. Team Leadership

  • Lead and mentor junior merchandisers and merchandising assistants.

  • Allocate workloads and monitor team performance.

  • Provide training on buyer requirements and merchandising procedures.

9. Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare order status reports and shipment updates.

  • Monitor KPIs, order profitability, and delivery performance.

  • Report risks, delays, and corrective action plans to management.


Skills Required

  • Strong knowledge of knit, woven, and sweater merchandising.

  • Expertise in garment costing and consumption calculation.

  • Knowledge of fabric sourcing and production processes.

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.

  • Ability to manage multiple buyers and orders simultaneously.

  • Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.
