Job Responsibilities & Context:

• Lead and manage the merchandising team for woven garment business.

• Handle buyer communications independently and maintain strong customer relationships.

• Develop business opportunities with existing and new buyers.

• Review and approve garment costing, price negotiations, and order confirmation.

• Monitor product development, sample submissions, and approval processes.

• Ensure timely booking of fabrics, trims, accessories, and packaging materials.

• Coordinate with sourcing, planning, production, quality, and commercial departments for smooth order execution.

• Prepare and monitor Time & Action (T&A) plans to ensure on-time shipment.

• Track order status and proactively resolve issues related to production, quality, and delivery.

• Monitor fabric consumption, order profitability, and overall business performance.

• Ensure compliance with buyer requirements, quality standards, and factory policies.

• Manage shipment schedules and coordinate with commercial teams for timely export.

• Lead, train, motivate, and evaluate merchandising team members.

• Prepare merchandising reports, shipment forecasts, and management updates.

• Analyze business performance and recommend process improvements.

• Support management in strategic planning, capacity utilization, and business growth initiatives.

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Apparel Manufacturing, Fashion Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Master's degree will be an added advantage.

Experience Requirements

• 10–15 years of experience in the RMG sector.

• Minimum 3–5 years in a Managerial Merchandising role.

• Strong experience in woven garments and handling international buyers.
