Job Responsibilities:
∎ Perform all aspects of systems engineering design for intelligent and advanced transportation and transit management systems, automated and connected vehicles, and have a comprehensive understanding of the principles, theories, concepts, and industry practices/standards
∎ Understanding of Advanced Traffic Management Systems, Connected Vehicles, Electronic Toll Collection, CCTV surveillance systems, traffic and vehicle detection systems (VDS), variable message signs (VMS), automated incident detection, video wallboards, transport based telephony, Automatic Vehicle Locators (AVL), Traffic Signals, Transit Signal Priority, Adaptive Signal Control and communication networks
∎ Knowledge of information and communications technology (ICT) systems architecture evaluation and design
∎ Familiarity with big data storage, processing, and analytics in a transportation management context
∎ Understanding of network security/design and controls systems design
∎ Experience with communications including fiber, telco, and wireless
∎ Complete site visits, evaluate and analyze existing systems
∎ Develop reports and plans based on project analyses and assessments
∎ Attend project meetings
Additional Requirements:
∎ System engineering design/deployment experience in ITS, ICT, and/or related areas of IT automation/Intelligence system
