iKORI is building cross-border labor infrastructure for Bangladeshi migrant professionals — starting with Japan and expanding from there. Long-horizon. Built to last. We are hiring our first senior engineer to join the founding engineering team — alongside the founder leading product and one engineer already in the seat. The founder, Salman, brings 17+ years of building and scaling tech products from zero to 100x — across consumer apps, fintech, and platforms operating in markets like Bangladesh, Thailand, and beyond. You will work directly with him, set the engineering bar, and ship work that touches the lives of millions of migrant workers and their families. This is not stage zero. The Android MVP is built. Core product logic and proprietary algorithms are in place. The backend engine is in active development. The technical roadmap is fully documented and ready for execution-mode sprints. Your work starts on a foundation, not a blank page. You’re the architect going forward of our tech stack.


Job Responsibilities:

• Build and ship production-level software

• Design and develop scalable backend systems

• Work with APIs, integrations, and system architecture

• Maintain production systems and handle debugging

• Ensure security (PII, payments, authentication, RLS)

• Collaborate directly with the founder on product and engineering decisions

• Mentor junior engineers

• Improve system quality and performance
