Responsibilities & Context:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage monthly budgets for procurement, LC payments, and supplier settlements.

  • Monitor and review all quotations, comparative statements, and work orders before approval.

  • Prepare, verify, and submit all necessary documents for Letter of Credit (LC) opening with banks.

  • Maintain regular communication with banks regarding LC processing, amendments, and settlements.

  • Coordinate with C&F (Clearing & Forwarding) agents for smooth clearance of imported raw and packaging materials.

  • Prepare and present various commercial and management reports for senior management.

  • Collect and evaluate quotations from international vendors and suppliers for imported materials.

  • Verify and approve bills from local suppliers and forward them to the Accounts Department for payment processing.

  • Coordinate with the IMD (International Marketing/Export) Department regarding export-related documentation and shipment processes.

  • Ensure all procurement and commercial activities comply with Public Procurement Act (PPA) 2006 and Public Procurement Rules (PPR) 2008.

  • Monitor import documentation including PI, CI, BL, Packing List, and other shipping documents.

  • Maintain proper records of all commercial transactions, import files, and supplier agreements.

  • Follow up with suppliers, banks, and regulatory authorities to ensure timely delivery and compliance.
