Experience:
Master’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
Professional certifications (e.g., CA, CMA, PMP, BCS Administration Cadre) will be considered an added advantage.
Age: 40–60 years (relax for exceptionally qualified candidates).
Strong leadership qualities with demonstrated skills in strategic planning and decision-making.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
In-depth understanding of ICT industry policies, regulatory frameworks, and operational dynamics (preferred).
Proven expertise in financial oversight, administrative management, and organizational governance.
Minimum 10 years of progressive professional experience, including at least 5 years in a senior management or leadership position.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in trade bodies, associations/chambers, government affairs, or former Bangladesh Civil Service (Administration Cadre) officials.
Job Context
The Secretary acts as the Administrative Head of BASIS and is responsible for directing organizational operations, driving strategic initiatives, and ensuring effective implementation of policies set by the Executive Council. The role requires dynamic leadership, excellent communication skills, and strong administrative acumen to ensure smooth and efficient functioning of the association.
Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic leadership in managing the overall administration and execution of BASIS activities.
Implement policies, directives, and decisions approved by the BASIS Executive Council (EC).
Develop and maintain productive relationships with government entities, regulatory authorities, stakeholders, and industry partners.
Represent BASIS at national and international platforms to champion the interests of the IT/ITES sector.
Facilitate effective coordination among members, committees, and relevant stakeholders.
Oversee financial operations and organizational functions to ensure alignment with institutional goals.
Supervise HR, procurement, legal, and compliance-related affairs.
Prepare comprehensive reports, proposals, and presentations for the Executive Council and external stakeholders.
Lead strategic initiatives that contribute to the growth and advancement of the ICT sector in Bangladesh.
Manage event-related activities such as trade fairs, policy dialogues, training programs, and other flagship initiatives.
Address and resolve member queries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
