Educational Requirements:
∎ Post Graduate/Masters from any reputed university (Major in Marketing/ Management/ Commerce background are highly preferable)

Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 3 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Develop and implement sales strategies for both retail and project segments. This includes setting sales targets, forecasting, and creating a roadmap to achieve those targets.
∎ Lead and manage a team of sales representatives, providing them with direction, training, and support to meet sales goals. This may include hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
∎ Build and maintain strong relationships with retail and project customers, which can include contractors, builders, architects, interior designers, and homeowners.
∎ Have in-depth knowledge of the company's paint products, including their features, benefits, and applications. This knowledge is essential for providing expert guidance to customers and the sales team.
∎ Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitors' activities. This information can help in making informed decisions and adapting the sales strategy accordingly.
∎ Monitor and manage paint inventory to ensure products are available when needed, especially for retail sales. This involves coordinating with supply chain and production departments.
∎ Prepare and deliver sales presentations to potential clients, whether they are retail customers or project stakeholders. These presentations should highlight the advantages of the company's paint products.
∎ Determine pricing strategies for various product lines and provide quotes to customers. Ensure that pricing is competitive and aligns with the company's profitability goals.
∎ Oversee the order processing and fulfillment process, ensuring that customer orders are accurately and timely delivered.
∎ Maintain sales records, prepare sales reports, and analyze sales data to track progress and make data-driven decisions.
∎ Conduct field visits to assess the needs of project customers, provide on-site support, and build strong relationships. This can also involve monitoring ongoing projects.
∎ Collaborate with the marketing department to plan and execute promotional campaigns and events to boost sales. This can include advertising, trade shows, and customer events.
∎ Develop and manage the sales department's budget, including expenses related to personnel, travel, and marketing.
∎ Ensure that all sales activities adhere to relevant laws and regulations, such as product safety standards and environmental regulations.
∎ Provide post-sale support and handle customer inquiries or concerns to maintain customer satisfaction.
∎ Sales Managers in the paint industry need to balance their time between office-based tasks, such as planning and reporting, and field-based activities, like meeting with customers and overseeing projects. Their role is vital in driving sales, building relationships, and contributing to the growth and success of the paint business.
