Job responsibilities

Operate cash registers and Point of Sale (POS) systems to process cash, credit, or debit card transactions and give correct change.
Upsell and suggest additional menu items or special deals to increase sales.
Resolve customer complaints and issues promptly and professionally, or escalate them to a manager when necessary.
Build productive, long-lasting relationships with regular customers to enhance satisfaction.
Food preparation and handling
Prepare and cook food items according to company standards and recipes, such as assembling sandwiches or operating fryers and grills.
Package and present orders accurately and efficiently for dine-in, takeout, or drive-thru customers.
Ensure that all food is handled and prepared according to health and safety regulations.
Restaurant maintenance
Keep work areas—including counters, dining rooms, and service stations—clean, sanitized, and organized.
Restock supplies, such as napkins, straws, condiments, and other items in the dining and service areas.
Perform opening and closing duties, such as cash reconciliation and cleaning tasks.
