Job Description:

The Quantity Surveyor is responsible for managing project costs, preparing BOQ, monitoring budgets, and ensuring cost-effective execution of construction and engineering activities. The role involves quantity take-off, cost estimation, contract administration, and coordination with project teams to ensure financial control and project efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

1.      Prepare quantity take-off from project drawings and specifications.

2.      Develop and maintain Bill of Quantities (BOQ).

3.      Estimate project costs and monitor project budget.

4.      Prepare cost analysis and cost control reports.

5.      Evaluate subcontractor quotations and prepare comparison sheets.

6.      Verify contractor and subcontractor invoices and payment claims.

7.      Prepare monthly progress billing and cost reports.

8.      Monitor project expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.

9.      Handle variation orders, claims, and contract changes.

10. Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and procurement team.

11. Ensure compliance with project contract and company policies.

12. Conduct site visits to verify work progress and quantities.

Qualifications:

·         Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field

·         3–7 years of experience

·         Strong knowledge of BOQ, cost estimation, and contract management

·         Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and quantity surveying software

·         Good communication skills in English

·         Knowledge of international project standards
