Responsibilities & Context:
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware faults in CCTV products, including NVR, DVR, IP Cameras, PTZ Cameras, Access Control and Video Intercom devices.
Identify faulty electronic components such as ICs, capacitors, resistors, MOSFETs, voltage regulators, and connectors.
Perform component-level repair, soldering, and replacement of defective parts.
Use electronic test equipment such as Digital Multimeter, Oscilloscope, DC Power Supply, and Soldering/Rework Station.
Conduct hardware testing and quality inspection after repair.
Upgrade firmware and verify product functionality after servicing.
Handle RMA products according to company procedures.
Maintain repair records, failure analysis reports and service documentation.
Coordinate with the technical support team for complex hardware issues.
Escalate critical hardware defects to the manufacturer or R&D team when required.
Ensure ESD safety procedures and quality standards during repair.
Support new product evaluation and hardware quality improvement activities.
Preferred Skills
Experience in diagnosing and repairing electronic hardware at the component level.
Good knowledge of analog and digital electronic circuits.
Ability to identify faulty ICs, capacitors, resistors, MOSFETs, regulators, and other electronic components.
Hands-on experience with Soldering Iron, Hot Air Rework Station, Digital Multimeter, DC Power Supply, and Oscilloscope.
Ability to read circuit diagrams and PCB layouts.
Knowledge of NVR, DVR, IP Camera, PoE Switch, Access Control, and other surveillance products will be an advantage.
Familiarity with firmware upgrade, hardware testing, and quality inspection.
Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Basic computer and networking knowledge.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team..
Education
Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering (EEE), Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or Telecommunication Engineering candidates with relevant experience are also encouraged to apply
