Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Lead Mechanical Commissioning Engineer to oversee and manage mechanical commissioning activities for a large-scale industrial facility project. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that mechanical systems and equipment are installed, tested, and commissioned in accordance with project specifications, safety standards, and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate all mechanical commissioning activities during the pre-commissioning and commissioning phases.

  • Develop and review commissioning procedures, method statements, and test plans for mechanical systems.

  • Supervise commissioning teams and coordinate with construction, engineering, and quality teams to ensure smooth project execution.

  • Verify that mechanical equipment and systems are installed according to design specifications and applicable standards.

  • Monitor and execute mechanical testing, flushing, pressure testing, alignment, and functional testing of equipment.

  • Identify and resolve technical issues encountered during commissioning activities.

  • Ensure all commissioning documentation, reports, and records are completed accurately.

  • Enforce compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout commissioning operations.

  • Support system handover to operations by ensuring readiness and proper documentation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

  • Proven experience in mechanical commissioning, with several years in a supervisory or lead role on large industrial projects.

  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, rotating equipment, piping systems, and commissioning processes.

  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.

  • Excellent leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience leading commissioning teams on complex industrial facilities.

  • Professional certifications related to mechanical engineering or commissioning.
