Position: CNC OPERATOR (SHIPYARD)
We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to operate and monitor Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines used in the fabrication of shipbuilding components. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality parts according to engineering drawings and technical specifications while maintaining safety, accuracy, and production efficiency.
Set up, operate, and monitor CNC cutting, milling, drilling, or machining equipment used in shipyard fabrication.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, work orders, and technical specifications.
Load raw materials and ensure correct machine settings before production.
Perform machine adjustments and tool changes to maintain product quality.
Measure and inspect finished components using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
Identify machining defects and make necessary corrections to ensure dimensional accuracy.
Perform routine machine maintenance and report equipment malfunctions to the maintenance team.
Maintain production records and complete required documentation accurately.
Follow shipyard quality standards, production schedules, and safety procedures.
Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Work closely with supervisors, engineers, and fabrication teams to meet production targets.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a CNC Operator, preferably in a shipyard, heavy fabrication, or steel manufacturing environment.
Ability to read engineering drawings and understand machining tolerances.
Knowledge of CNC machine operation, tooling, and machining processes.
Experience using precision measuring instruments.
Basic understanding of CNC programming (G-code) is an advantage.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
