• 4-5 years in technical, QA, or PD roles within (International retail sourcing office) Manufacturing / RMG industry.
• Good understanding of garment construction, patterns, and sewing techniques.
• Familiarity with buyer tech packs (H&M, C&A, PVH, M&S, Walmart, etc.) is an added advantage.
• Proficiency in MS Office tools and basic PLM systems.
• Strong product and material knowledge.
• Strong sketching and illustration skills.
• Critical eye for color and details.
• Ability to give clear instructions and guidelines to supplier and HEMA head office.
• Analyzing skills with ability to produce high-quality process improvements.
• Capability to judge sensitive situations and react accordingly.
• Solid technical knowledge for product and function, fit, patternmaking, construction expertise, cost engineering, and knowledge of manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of CAT-CAM system, pattern software (Gerber/ Lectra/ Optitex) and hand pattern making.
• High attention to detail, data accuracy, prioritization, and decision making.

Our product range consists of more than 32,000 different articles that are mostly designed and developed in-house by the HEMA team. To facilitate this, HEMA has its own buying offices in China, Hong Kong, Turkey, and Dhaka, Bangladesh with its Support Office located in Amsterdam.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct PP meeting, inline and final inspection with product technical issues, risk assessments, and provide guidelines to producers.

• Make sure print and embroidery (embellishment) quality, shade, hand feel, and durability, accessories quality in bulk by conducting necessary quality tests and daily machine calibration by Hema`s assigned testing lab and Hema SOP/manual.

• Maximum cooperation with merchandise colleagues and closely following production planning to ensure on-time delivery

• Work closely with factory key personnel on sampling and sewing areas to ensure HEMA standard quality.

• Achieve sample quality and delivery KPI’s on first-time and on-time sample approval from HEMA.

• Escalate exceptions and notify delays, and any discrepancies of HEMA standard to quality assurance (QA) for necessary action.

• Check the first bundle with factory team as per HEMA SOP and correct line to proceed with bulk.

• Verify fabric quality, color, test requirements, print, wash (embellishment) quality, and placement as per tech pack and customer comments, and maintain required quality levels in bulk production.

• Maintain quality SOP and be responsible for quality and technical-related issues arising in production, and provide timely solutions to ensure zero quality claims.

• Follow best practices and process control points to ensure HEMA SOP has been maintained for all orders.

• Ensure no unauthorized subcontracting.

• Strong technical knowledge in quality systems.

• Ensure HEMA quality standards for each shipment.
