Experience:

10 years QA/QC experience in a multinational buying office, most preferable for a European retailer,

Excellent command of spoken and written English and Bangla;
Strong computer skills;

For our Dhaka office we are searching for high qualified candidates for the position of QA/QC Manager.
Job Overview
The QA/QC Manager is responsible for ensuring that the quality management system (QMS) is fully implemented in an organized and efficient manner. The QA/QC Manager is responsible for delegating and assigning tasks to QA/QC supervisors and ensuring that our products meet the highest levels of quality, safety, and compliance with regulations and HEMA needs.
Responsibilities and Duties
Lead and manage the QA/QC team, contributing expertise to the overall Quality Management System (QMS), policies, and standards to support the proper and smooth execution of all quality-related activities.
Guide and support the QA team with practical experience in pattern making and adjustment, fitting tests, and workmanship by understanding all development processes and production steps.
Guide and support the QA Fabric team with extensive knowledge about woven and knit fabrics, driving improvement projects and developing fabric standards.
Lead and guide the QC team by overseeing and understanding all inspection procedures. Proactively support day-to-day production issues and be hands-on to assist the team and suppliers.
Positively contribute to successful collaboration between merchandising and QA/QC by facilitating knowledge exchange and updating information in a clear and effective manner.
Responsible for testing production raw materials (fabric, trims, accessories) and other related tests (color fastness, tear strength, tensile strength, etc.), ensuring compliance with internationally accepted guidelines and Hema standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including quality control, garments fitting tech, and garments fabric tech, to resolve quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Managing the development and implementation of the QMS for planning, production, inspection, documentation, and operations activities including:
Planning duties within the QA/QC staff and related work schedules.
Identifying and developing QA/QC personnel certification requirements and continuing education/training needs.
Providing leadership, mentorship, and direction of all QA/QC personnel.
Establish and implement quality objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve product quality continuously.
Coordinate with management for quality improvements.
Facilitate proactive solutions by collecting and analyzing quality data.
Review current standards and policies.
Ensure all legal standards are met.
Manage and oversee project quality to ensure compliance with codes, standards, regulations, equipment-specific specifications, and QMS requirements.
Managing the development and implementation of the QMS for planning, production, inspection, documentation, and operations activities including:

Providing leadership, mentorship, and direction of all QA/QC personnel.
Take full responsibility for hold-point releases once all QMS functions have been completed and the equipment is ready to go into the next work stage.
Work on ad hoc projects and tasks as assigned by the general manager aligned with the vision and strategy of the company.
Set priorities, develop a work schedule, monitor progress toward goals, and track details, data, information, and activities.
Clean desk policy: when not in use or absent from their work area, all critical documents, confidential letters, stationaries, samples, etc. should be taken off a desk/work area and locked away/stored in the prescribed manner.
Sample storing: samples should be kept for review up to the relevant period in the allocated location with proper box labeling and decluttered later in a precise administrative manner for space management.
