Educational Requirements:
∎ Graduate Degree in Textile, Garment, or Industrial Engineering or in related field.
∎ Master's degree or equivalent will be preferred.
Job Context:
∎ The Fit Technician job in our company is a new position. The role will be responsible for executing and maintaining basic fit and construction approvals through accurate garment specification. S/he needs to perform fit specifications comments i.e., approve or reject garments on daily basis. S/he identifies and penetrates new opportunities with suppliers, vendors while engaging with merchandise and quality teams at the various Far East Offices and the HEMA Head Office in The Netherlands, to actively achieve our buyer`s needs.
∎ The role will support the HEMA Far East organization at the Office in Dhaka to accomplish the company`s Quality Management Strategy, to monitor standards and improve intrinsic product quality. The incumbent must keep up on sourcing trends and take up initiatives to add value for the buyers at HEMA Head Office.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ The role and responsibilities will include (but are not restricted to):
∎ Report to HEMA FE General Manager Bangladesh office
∎ Experience in patterns making
∎ Experience to work with master patterns
∎ Able to find pattern mistakes and give solution/suggestion for improvements
∎ Able to judge sample on fitting doll and can recognize fit problems
∎ To make corrections to specifications and details to achieve desired fit and look
∎ Create fit sketches to aid the supplier in correcting fit issues
∎ Creating diagrams in Excel, including digital photos to explain fit corrections and construction details
∎ Identifying sample quality, color, and construction issues against proto / show samples
∎ Assess and evaluate the overall capabilities of all suppliers and make recommendations
∎ Work on ad hoc projects and tasks as assigned with the General Manager aligned with the vision and strategy of the company

∎ The ideal candidate should possess the below attributes:
∎ Strong product and material knowledge
∎ Solid technical knowledge of product and function, fit, patternmaking, constructions expertise
∎ Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes
∎ Critical eye for details and colors
∎ Highly motivated and result-driven individual
∎ Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and can work in a multitask environment
∎ Ability to work in international environment
∎ Ability to do give clear instructions and guidelines to supplier and HEMA head office.
∎ Analyzing skills with ability to produce high quality process improvements
∎ Ability to keep composed under high- pressure situations
∎ Capability to judge sensitive situations and react accordingly
∎ Knowledge of CAT-CAM system.
∎ We require you to have the following qualifications:
∎ Minimum 5 years' experience in (International retail sourcing office) Manufacturing/RMG industry, with managerial and project management experience.
∎ Excellent command on written and spoken English.
∎ High attention to detail, data accuracy, prioritization and decision making.
∎ Flexible attitude to change.
