∎ Age 30 to 50 years
∎ 5+ years of experience in a buying house, brand, or retailer in a production/purchasing role
∎ Must have worked with licensed apparel – understanding of licensor approvals, artwork compliance, and social audits
∎ Strong knowledge of garment construction, fabric sourcing, trims, and finishing across both woven and knitwear
∎ Proven experience in cost negotiation and supplier sourcing for both high-volume and small-run orders
∎ Familiarity with Walmart, Costco, or similar compliance and packaging requirements is a strong asset
∎ Fluent in English (spoken and written); excellent communication and negotiation skills
∎ Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with overseas teams
∎ Experience working with North American buyers
∎ Existing relationships with vetted factories in Bangladesh
∎ Hands-on knowledge of AQL inspection systems, lab testing protocols, and vendor manuals
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Identify and manage supplier/factory relationships with a focus on licensed apparel production
∎ Ensure social compliance and audit readiness in line with licensor requirements (e.g., Disney, Marvel, Warner Bros.)
∎ Coordinate sampling, bulk production, T&A calendars, and ensure on-time deliveries
∎ Expertly handle costing of both woven and knit apparel across categories
∎ Source both large and small order quantities at highly competitive prices
∎ Negotiate costings and optimize margins without compromising on quality or timelines
∎ Conduct factory visits and manage day-to-day communication with production partners
∎ Ensure adherence to Walmart, Costco, or other North American retailer standards
∎ Liaise with Canadian HQ on forecasting, replenishment, and approvals
∎ Monitor compliance documentation and manage corrective action plans where necessary
