Educational Requirements:
∎ University degree at Masters level in a relevant discipline (international law, political science, social science, peace and conflict studies or any other relevant education profile);

Additional Requirements:
∎ You will bring A minimum of 5 years of experience in field-based protection work in conflict or insecure environments, preferably with experience in managing protection programmes;
∎ Strong conceptual and practical understanding of protection issues and specifically Oxfam's approach and linkages of protection work to advocacy;
∎ Understanding of Protection coordination mechanisms and roles and mandates of key protection actors;
∎ Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking, including experience developing written analysis and strategies for protection;
∎ Strong knowledge and practice of Community based Protection approach; Strong understanding and endorsing of gender-related aspects of protection work.
∎ Commitment to gender equity, diversity and equal opportunities;
∎ Experience in using participatory research and assessment methodologies, preferably in protection programming, as well as in using and adapting community-led approaches;
∎ Experience in managing diverse staff/teams including in complex and challenging environments;
∎ Experience in managing risk in a fast-paced and complex humanitarian and political landscape, including ability to analyses and articulate the humanitarian dimension of complex issues;
∎ Experience in capacity-building and training of colleagues and partners on protection, including experience in safe programming;
∎ Knowledge and experience using Red Cross Code of Conduct, the People in Aid code, and SPHERE minimum standards;
∎ High levels of organization and strong planning skills; High levels of verbal and written communication skills;
∎ Strong inter-personal skills and ability to work well in hard working response and global teams;
∎ Ability to work effectively and calmly in a high-pressure environment and to priorities and manage assignments in a timely fashion.
∎ Ability to recognize stress and self-management of this particularly in difficult situations;
∎ Ability to work well in a collaborative team as well as remotely with global teams across different time zones and with cultural differences;
∎ Fluency in written and spoken English and computer literate;
∎ in-depth budget knowledge and previous project management experience;
∎ Very good interpersonal skills, particularly in networking, working with communities, local civil society and local authorities;
∎ Knowledge and understanding of the Rohingya situation and experience of working on the issue and/or in the region;;
∎ Advanced degree in international Refugee Law, Human Rights Law or IHL; Fluent in Bangla, Rohingya or Chittagong dialects.
Salary:
∎ BDT. 2,171,400 gross per annum (13 months)
Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ 10% market supplement with other benefits e.g. hardship allowance, medical for spouse and children, contributory Provident fund, gratuity, leave & Insurance etc.
