Educational Requirements:
∎ Four years Bachelor/Masters in agricultural science and relevant discipline; Masters in agricultural science will be given preferences.

Job Context:
∎ Shushilan is implementing a project entitled "Technical Skills Development and Establishment of Market Linkages for Farmers` Groups in Cox`s Bazar" with technical support from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and financial support from The Embassy of the Kingdom of Netherlands (EKN). The project has been implementing in collaboration with Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE), Department of Livestock Services (DLS) and Department of Fisheries (DoF) to build the capacity of the farmer groups, both technically and socially, to improve production through production assessment, customized design, input provision and skills building to address the key environmental, economic and sociological impacts of the crisis on the local population through both a short and medium-term approaches. Shushilan is inviting application from the qualified and interested candidates for the following positions.
∎ Job Location: Cox`s Bazar Sadar, Ramu, Ukhiya and Teknaf Upazila under Cox`s Bazar District.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Prepare and disseminate upazila level work plan and implement through the CSPs;
∎ Provide technical guidance to the CSPs for implementation and monitoring of field level project activities;
∎ Build technical capacity of the CSPs on group formation and farmers' field school concept, value chain and market linkages;
∎ Facilitate field staff understanding of organization's values, vision, mission statements and partnership standards, project directions, goals etc.;
∎ Monitor the progress of field activities and take initiative for corrective measures in consultation with the PC- Shushilan and ATC of FAO;
∎ Prepare and analyzes the budget for the field activities;
∎ Prepare progress reports on field activities;
∎ Regular meeting with the project/program staff and provide feedback for improves;
∎ Conducted staff performance evaluation at regular basis;
∎ Document the lesson learnt and best practices on field activities;
∎ Maintain regular and effective coordination, liaison and communication with the FAO, DAE, DLS, DoF NGOs, and relevant stakeholders at Upazila level;
∎ Organize and attend various important training, meeting, seminar, workshop at upazila and district level;
∎ Support the field team to organize and take necessary preparation for donor visit and produce report;
∎ Assist PC to prepare any guideline, process and tools as per the guidance by FAO representatives and senior management;
∎ Maintain gender and equality following the organizational policy and practice;
∎ Respect, maintain and monitor code of conduct practice;
∎ All kind of positive motivation to support and response in emergency situation;
∎ In addition to that any other duties and responsibilities may assigned by the authority / organization which need to be carried out.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum of 5 years working experiences in Agriculture, Food Security and Livelihood Development project in Bangladesh with NGOs.
∎ Demonstrated capacity in project management, with conceptual understanding;
∎ Strong understanding of key aspects of Farmers' Field School and market linkages
∎ Strong critical and analytical thinking capabilities
∎ Team building capacity
∎ Computer literacy, including the ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
∎ Ability to drive a motorbike with valid motorbike license

Salary:
∎ BDT 50,000 per month. Higher salary can be provided for highly competent candidate.
