Additional Requirements:
  • Age 28 to 50 years

Experience:

  • At least 5 years of experience in the design and implementation of M&E/MIS in development projects implemented by national/international NGOs·

  • Experience in designing tools and strategies for data collection, analysis, and production of reports;

  • Proven ICT skills, especially in the development of MIS software using database software;

  • Expertise in analyzing data using statistical software;

  • Strong training & facilitation skills.

    Language Requirements: Fluency in written and spoken Bangla and English.



Responsibilities & Context:

The overall goal of Prantic Unnayan Society (PRANTIC) is to contribute to achieving the SDGs of the People`s Republic of Bangladesh through implementing different projects and programs. PRANTIC is presently working for more than 300,000 marginalized, displaced and oppressed people in 15 Upazila under 8 districts including Forcefully Displaced Myanmar Nationals (FDMN) living in Ukhiya, Teknaf and Bhasan Char to enhance their quality of life, reducing hunger and poverty, and care for the earth. PRANTIC with funding support from different donors and own resources is continuing to work together to provide education, adequate health services, emergency support, food, clothes and meats, and conduct WASH, MFI and livelihood activities for self-reliance and well-being of the displaced, marginalized and oppressed.


PRANTIC has been working on Education, Health, Livelihood for Women Empowerment and Emergency response in the Humanitarian Assistance context since 2018. As a part of establishing Education access to the Rohingya Children PRANTIC has been closely working with Pooled fund team, which is supported by BRAC and Funded by the the Global Affairs of Canada (GAC) and the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) for "Support to FDMN in Cox's Bazar and Bhasan Char in the Education, Livelihood and WASH Sectors" Phase-5: July 2026 - December 2026" project. In order to implement the project, PRANTIC is now looking for competent Bangladeshi candidates for the MEAL Officer position.

The MEAL Officer will have the following duties and responsibilities:

Monitoring and Evaluation

·    Support monitoring and evaluation of the results of the project

·   Develop and strengthen monitoring and evaluation procedures

·   Monitor all project activities and progress towards achieving the project output

·   Develop monitoring and result indicators for the Project and for the government counterpart/stakeholders

·  Monitor and evaluate overall progress on achievement of results 

·  Provide feedback to the Project Focal on project strategies and activities

·  Suggest strategies to the Project Management for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the project by identifying bottlenecks in completing project activities and developing plans to minimize or eliminate such bottlenecks

·  Assist the project personnel with M&E tools and in supporting them in their use

·  Assist in coordinating across the available components of the Project to ensure effective implementation of M&E/MIS

 

Report Writing and Data Management

·  Assist Project Manager in preparing monthly, quarterly, annual and other relevant reports on project progress based on MIS reports of project activities

·  Provide inputs, information, and statistics for quarterly, annual and other reports to Project Management Team and Donors

·  Participate in annual projects reviews and planning workshops and assist the Project Focal in preparing relevant reports

·  Assist Project Manager in the preparation of reports on the findings and lessons learned from project innovation
