Job Purpose:

This position is responsible for the day-to-day monitoring of DRR project activities to ensure quality assurance, compliance, and adherence to BRAC and donor policies; MEAL system functioning, including MIS reporting, IPTT/logframe tracking, and post-distribution monitoring; and establishing and running the Complaints, Feedback and Response Mechanism (CFRM) at the field level. The role works in close coordination with the project team, PDDR team, and BRAC Central MEAL team and reports to the Technical Specialist – DRR for the execution of duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily monitoring of DRR activities to ensure quality assurance and compliance with BRAC and donor policies and procedures

  • Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly MIS data to Central MEAL in line with reporting timelines

  • Develop and regularly update the Indicator Performance Tracking Table (IPTT); provide monthly data and maintain BRAC Central MEAL's server for quantitative progress monitoring

  • Develop and update the project MEAL plan and logframe

  • Design monitoring tools for Cash-Based Transfer (CBT) distribution and other project activities

  • Lead Post-Distribution Monitoring (PDM) and assessment processes end-to-end: prepare ToR, finalize sampling lists, develop questionnaires, build data collector capacity, conduct data collection, clean and analyze data, draft reports, and facilitate MEAL team validation

  • Conduct data quality assessments (DQA) to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of project data

  • Conduct field monitoring visits and database monitoring; prepare monitoring reports with actionable findings

  • Conduct training for staff capacity building and beneficiary capacity building on MEAL and CFRM processes.

  • Support project evaluations, including data provision, logistics, and coordination with evaluation teams

  • Form and orient CFRM committees at the field level; develop CFRM tools, complaint-handling procedures, and reporting systems

  • Attend regular Central MEAL team meetings; provide project progress updates and support Central MEAL system functioning

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual MEAL/CFRM reports and contribute to donor and internal reporting

  • Support the Manager, project team, PDDR team, and Central MEAL team on reporting and overall MEAL system functioning

  • Support project proposal development with MEAL-related inputs, indicators, and evidence from monitoring data

Safeguarding Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme`s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment

  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action

  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a professional working relationship with Central MEAL, project team, and relevant stakeholders internally and externally

  • Support timely donor documentation requirements, as applicable to other project donors

  • Undertake any other MEAL/CFRM-related tasks assigned by the supervisor
