  • Able to operate virtual communication platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, etc.

  • Able to drive motorcycle with valid driving license.

  • Committed on response in any humanitarian emergency if necessary.



Responsibilities & Context:

Shushilan, a national reputed NGO is going to implement a project entitled the Community Mobilization Programme (CMP) supported by SMC, focused on community engagement, behavior change, and health promotion. It operates through structured planning NGO partnerships, Gold Stare Member (GSM) networks, and BCC interventions such as meetings, training, and promotional campaigns. Under the CMP activities Shushilan will implement its assign activities in different Upazilas under Jhinahdha, Meherpur, Narail, Khulna and Satkhira district. Shushilan is inviting application from the qualified and interested candidates for the above position.

  • Support the selection and engagement of community-based Gold Star Members (GSMs) for the promotion and distribution of SMC health and family planning products.

  • Maintain regular communication with GSMs and collect sales-related and other relevant field information.

  • Organize orientation sessions for newly selected GSMs and provide follow-up support in coordination with Upazila Supervisors and District Management.

  • Facilitate the collection, distribution, and supply management of SMC products for GSMs.

  • Coordinate closely with Community Mobilizers and conduct meetings and field activities jointly.

  • Conduct regular field visits and meet with GSMs on a routine basis to monitor performance and provide support.

  • Facilitate monthly GSM meetings and ensure maximum participation and engagement.

  • Maintain updated stock records of SMC products and ensure accurate inventory management.

  • Ensure that sales proceeds are deposited promptly to the bank or handed over to the Accounts Officer according to organizational procedures.

  • Promote ANC services, family planning methods, products, and health-related messages within the community.

  • Coordinate activities between GSMs and SMC sales representatives/officers to strengthen sales and service delivery.

  • Monitor the progress of Community Mobilizers and provide feedback for improved performance.

  • Maintain regular follow-up with GSMs and monitor their field-level activities.

  • Build and maintain networking and advocacy relationships with local government institutions and other key stakeholders to improve community access to SMC health products.

  • Conduct household and community visits and strengthen relationships with local leaders, school teachers, school management committee members, government field staff, NGOs, and media representatives.

  • Maintain regular communication with the district office through the respective Upazila Supervisor.

  • Coordinate with SMC sales officers/representatives regarding product demand, supply, and collection arrangements.

  • Participate in orientations, trainings, workshops, meetings, and other capacity-building activities.

  • Prepare case studies, success stories, and issue-based documentation related to project activities.

  • Collect and compile community-level information and submit reports to the respective Upazila Supervisor.

  • Maintain records of meetings and prepare consolidated weekly, monthly, and sales-related reports.
