Education and Experience

• A Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science (CSE) with 5 years of experience, including at least 3 years working on Content Management System (CMS)

• At least 3 years of professional experience in publishing and updating website content, news, events and knowledge resources.

• Experience in working with networks, strong communication skills and close integration with interventions at the community level.

• Proven experience in communication, and stakeholder engagement.

• Excellent analytical, reporting, and presentation skills.

• Strong understanding of project management methodologies and principles.

• Experience working with government agencies and local communities in Bangladesh in an asset.

• Practical knowledge and experiences on IEC/BCC materials development.

• It is Global Programme so Fluency in English is essential.

Job Context

WAVE Foundation is a civil society organization established in 1990, has been implementing a wide range of activities to promote socio-economic development for poor and marginalized communities and also advocates for universal human rights and good governance through issue-based campaigns. WAVE is driven by its motto `Together for Better Life’ towards the vision of ‘A just and prosperous society where every individual lives with dignity, freedom and equal opportunity’. The organization has structured its activities under five major programs, which include 1. Microfinance 2. Agroecology Focused Agri-Food System Transformation 3. Governance, Rights and Justice 4. Climate Justice and Renewable Energy Promotion 5. Community Development and Youth Empowerment. WAVE Foundation is going to implement a four years (04) Global Programme ‘Nutrition Smart Community": Strengthening adaptive and inclusive food systems to improve food security and climate resilience in South Asia (India, Nepal, Bangladesh)’, supported by Private German sponsor Deutsche Welthungerhilfe e.V. (WHH) at Singair Upazilla of Manikgonj District with the objective ‘Government and civil society decision-makers at various levels use community-based and cross-sectoral approaches (local food system approach) to sustainably improve the food security of vulnerable groups’. The project overall goals is ‘the food security of vulnerable communities is improved through the establishment of inclusive and climate-resilient food systems’. By the end of the project, strong community structures, effective food management and improved cross-sectoral cooperation should be in place to ensure a fair and resilient food system. In addition, it will be ensured that all planned services are provided, transition mechanisms are implemented and the results are measured against the objectives. WAVE Foundation is seeking qualified candidate for the position of the ‘Knowledge Website Expert’ for this project.

Job Summary

The Knowledge Website Expert will be responsible for maintaining the programme website https://nutritionsmartcommunity.org/ also creating dynamic content, updating the platform and coordinating with local service providers for technical maintenance. He/She also is responsible for creating information materials, maintaining the social media presence and designing high-impact content in close coordination with the nutrition and knowledge management specialists. He/She will be responsible to strengthen government and civil society committees, networks, multipliers, media and political decision-makers in order to create a conducive environment for nutrition-related behavioural change and to transfer programme approaches to other regions. The Knowledge Website Expert will coordinate and also provide regular reports to WHH as per the requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership for creating dynamic content, updating the platform and technical maintenance.

• Managed and maintained website using a Content Management System (CMS).

• Published and updated website content, news, events and knowledge resources.

• Ensured content accuracy, consistency and compliance with brand guidelines.

• Optimized webpages for SEO to improve search engine visibility.

• Monitored website performance and resolved content-related issues.

• Coordinated with internal teams to collect, review, and publish digital content.

• Generated website traffic and performance reports using Google Analytics.

• Maintained image quality, file optimization and website responsiveness.

• Performed regular website audits to identify broken links and outdated information.

• Supported continuous improvement of the website's user experience and knowledge base.

• Create information materials, maintaining the social media presence and designing high-impact content

• Ensure communication between WHH and other project partner, local authority for gathering information and data.

• Work closely with National Networking & Advocacy Coordinator and Technical Expert Training and the WHH

• Develop and implement the knowledge management plan, ensuring efficient and timely sharing of knowledge products.

• Contribute climate-resilient food systems for all people in the country based on agro-ecology.

• Ensure efficient coordination with WHH & WAVE Management and other stakeholders.

• Identify and implement knowledge dissemination strategies to ensure sustainability beyond the project period.

• Perform any other duties assigned by WHH & WAVE management.

Salary and Benefits

• Monthly gross salary will be BDT 95,000-100,000/- (including all) and would be negotiable. 

• Mobile phone and Travel allowance will be provided as per the project budgetary provision.
