Project Planning & Implementation:
Ensure timely implementation of all project activities .
Prepare and update activity schedules, Gantt charts and operational plans.
Ensure all interventions comply with donor requirements and organizational standards.
Community Mobilization & Group Formation
Facilitate the formation and functioning of Polder Management Committees.
Ensure regular monthly community meetings and active participation of beneficiaries.
Oversee PDRA planning and ensure community-led disaster risk assessment is completed.
Capacity Development & Training
Ensure quality delivery of DRR & CCA trainings for all target groups.
Oversee alternative livelihood, climate-smart agriculture and youth skill development trainings.
Track training impact and follow up with refresher or mentoring sessions.
Infrastructure & Technical Interventions
Supervise construction, installation and restoration projects (water treatment plants, latrines, cyclone-resilient houses, roads, embankments, pond excavation, etc.).
Ensure quality control, compliance with technical specifications and safety standards.
Approve and monitor procurement, contractor performance and materials distribution.
Livelihood & Climate Adaptation Interventions
Ensure proper selection, distribution, and monitoring of alternative livelihood items.
Oversee sustainable aquaculture and integrated farming pilots.
Track results of climate-smart agriculture and alternative income generation interventions.
Stakeholder Coordination & Liaison
Maintain regular communication with government departments, BWDB, LGED, Forest, Agriculture, Fisheries, DDM, DPHE and local authorities.
Organize and lead workshops, advocacy events and stakeholder meetings.
Ensure participation of officials and documentation of outcomes.
Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting
Supervise baseline, mid-term, and endline surveys.
Track performance indicators and prepare progress reports, technical notes and case studies.
Ensure documentation of lessons learned, visibility materials and signboard installations.
Team Leadership & Staff Supervision
Supervise, mentor, and evaluate field staff.
Conduct monthly staff meetings, quarterly reviews and ensure staff capacity development.
Ensure accountability, task completion, and adherence to organizational policies.
Emergency Preparedness & Disaster Response
Ensure timely distribution of rescue materials, first aid kits and volunteer equipment.
Support community preparedness and awareness campaigns on disaster management and WASH.
Financial & Administrative Oversight
Ensure project budget adherence and timely fund utilization.
Supervise payments, consultant engagement and procurement processes.
Ensure proper documentation of honoraria, visibility items and infrastructure expenses.
Advocacy & External Representation
Represent the project in district, national, and international forums.
Support advocacy on climate adaptation, DRR, WASH and polder resilience.
Ensure project visibility and stakeholder awareness.
Activities:
Lead overall project planning, implementation, and ensure alignment with donor requirements.

Liaise and coordinate with government departments, local authorities, and stakeholders at district, national, and international levels.
Facilitate workshops and advocacy events for project visibility and policy influence.
Track project progress, monitor key indicators, and ensure quality M&E, surveys, and documentation.
Oversee budget utilization, procurement, payments, and visibility items distribution.
Ensure compliance with organizational policies, safeguards, and environmental standards.
Skill and Competencies:
Educational Requirements:
Master’s degree in Disaster Management, Environmental Science, Water Resources, Civil Engineering, Agriculture, Development Studies, or related fields.
5–7 years in coastal/polder or disaster-prone area projects.
Experience in multi-sector project management.
Willingness to work in remote coastal/polder areas.
Knowledge of local climate, coastal challenges, and disaster risks.
Travel flexibility; motorcycle driving license preferred.
