Responsibilities & Context:

 Responsible for:

• Responsible to lead a medical team in any emergency

• Responsible to establish an effective communication, cooperation and collaboration with the outreach component (satellite clinics, medical assistants, nurses, midwives)

• Highly responsible for teambuilding & nurturing the team effort.

• Maintain coordination with PM and DPM managing special programs ( Donor visit, RRRC, UNO, or civil surgeon visit) in Cox’s Bazar

• A professional relationship is maintained with the higher authority through email

• Any work set within the reason and means by the authority of the organization.

• Highly committed & motivated to work in remote places.

Activities:

• Contributing clinical expertise to patient care and providing guidance to junior physicians.

• Ability to perform C-section as the lead surgeon.

• Patient follow-up and counselling as per need.

• Ability to respond immediately when medical emergencies arise. Interested in working on a call basis during emergencies.

• Performing administrative duties and risk management.

• As a part of the team, work should be done in coordination with colleagues to ensure high-quality support for the projects and excellence within the organization.

• Ensuring the highest standards in patient care are maintained.

• Verifying complex diagnosis, and consulting with the consultant OBGYN regarding treatment plans.

• Maintain close communication and coordination with the consultant-OBGYN regarding patient management.

• Ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards. Must act according to medical ethics.

• Reporting to senior management, as well as liaising between the administrative and medical staff.

• Ensuring consistent and accurate medical recordkeeping practices.

• Supervises physicians, midwives, and nurses in his or her department.

• Oversees departmental patient care.

• Brings concerns, requests, and problems to the hospital board as necessary.

• Addresses concerns and requests posed by hospital staff.

• Assigns tasks to physicians, nurses, and hospital staff for review as necessary.

• Consults and treats patients.

• Ensures that all practices in the department adhere to hospital standards and code of medical ethics.

• Coordinates staff schedules.

Skill and Competencies:

Education and relevant experience:

• MBBS degree with valid BMDC registration; One-year PGT course required on Gynae & Obs

• Preferably aged between 30 to 40 years

• Two (2) years of experience as a Senior Medical Officer in the Gynae department of any private or NGO clinic/ hospital is preferable

• Experience in service delivery is desirable

• Only females with the above qualifications are requested to apply

• Have a willingness to work in remote and hard to reach area
