• Experience: 2 to 5 years in high-rise building construction (10+ storied, including basement works).
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, and project management tools, MS project, ETABS/STAAD.Pro
• Competencies: Strong leadership, ability to work under pressure, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of RCC and steel structures.
• Membership: Professional membership with the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB) is preferred.

Role Overview

• A Civil Engineer (Building Construction) in Bangladesh manages on-site structural construction, ensuring compliance with BNBC regulations, structural drawings, architectural drawing and safety standards. Key duties include supervising construction activities, material management, preparing progress reports, and coordinating with contractors/laborers.

Job Responsibilities

• Site Supervision: Supervise daily construction activities, including piling, reinforcement, concrete casting, and finishing works, ensuring they meet structural/architectural drawing specifications.

• Quality Control: Ensure strict compliance with BNBC (Bangladesh National Building Code), FAR, and RAJUK regulations.

• Material Management: Prepare BOQ, costing, estimation, material requisitions based on design/drawings and verify the quality of materials received on-site.

• Progress Monitoring & Reporting: Prepare daily/weekly work progress reports, maintain site records, and update project managers on schedules and potential delays.

• Bill Verification: Measure completed work, maintain measurement books, and certify contractor bills.

• Safety Implementation: Implement safety protocols, including the use of PPE for all staff.
