Job Context:
∎ Caritas Bangladesh (CB) is a national and non-profit development organization operating in Bangladesh since 1967. It has its Central Office in Dhaka and eight Regional Offices (Barishal, Chattogram, Dhaka, Dinajpur, Khulna, Mymensingh, Rajshahi and Sylhet Region). CB is implementing 89 on-going projects covering 189 Upazilas focusing on six main priorities i.e i) Social Welfare for Vulnerable Communities (SWVC), ii) Education and Child Development, iii) Nutrition and Health Education, iv) Disaster Management, v) Ecological Conservation and Food Security (ECFS), and vi) Development of Indigenous Peoples.
∎ Caritas Bangladesh (CB), Cox`s Bazar office is looking for suitable candidate for an immediate appointment as well as to prepare a panel list for Emergency Response to the Forcibly Displaced People of Myanmar in Bangladesh.
∎ The details of the position including job responsibilities, educational qualifications and other qualities /competency required for the above positions are given below for your information:
∎ Job Summary:
∎ Responsible for all duties and responsibilities of all kinds of activities (Relief, Rehabilitation, Technical Support) for WASH Activities planning, implementation, supervision, coordination and collaboration with related government department, technical working groups and sector. Sectorial activities including collection of information for preparing project proposal, verification of projects, making feasibility study, pre-work measurement, sketch map, Preparation of Drawing, Design, Estimate & Budget, checking of Muster Roll, vouchers, attendance, maintain labor register, resolution book, report writing, conduct session, meeting, training, and workshop, etc.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsible for supervision and management of all camp / project staff and activities including WASH infrastructures construction, community mobilization, protection, camp management and distributions.
∎ Achieve all project deliverables as per the approved or donor-agreed work plans and indicator targets.
∎ Ensure adequate care and maintenance of camp infrastructure, or if applicable, initiate new construction.
∎ Identify gap in service provision to refugees, proactively referring those gaps to relevant forums or advocating with government authorities or humanitarian partners for additional support.
∎ Continually maintain and develop governance and community participation mechanisms in camp, ensuring that the voices of men, women, boys, girls and groups with specific needs are heard and represented.
∎ Conduct field visit regularly to the project areas for close monitoring as well as verify the quality of the activities.
∎ Guide and assist project staff for implementing field activities.
∎ Maintain effective liaison with the relevant stakeholders.
∎ Assist in maintaining track for budget monitoring, relevant for project operation and ensure effective utilization of project budget.
∎ Inspect documents for content accuracy and relevancy.
∎ Guide and assist to organize community consultation meeting.
∎ Organize meeting, training, workshop as part of capacity building of staff.
∎ Develop and prepare relevant IEC materials and contents.
∎ Record and preserve necessary documents both as hard copy and electronically in compliance with organization's policies and procedures.
∎ Assist to ensure logistics support for implementing activities.
∎ Contribute to prepare of internal and external reports for the NGO and donors.
∎ Maintain contact, liaison, network, and coordination with the actors of the public and private sector for exchange ideas/views, good practices, and learning.
∎ Represent Caritas Bangladesh in different public and private sector Forums/Clusters/Associations/Campaigns, etc. as assigned by the management.
∎ Should have a clear concept and knowledge to promote and ensure gender and protection mainstreaming, equity and inclusion, core humanitarian standards, environmental sustainability, peace, and reconciliation.
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation to achieve the program's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance, and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 05 (Five) years experiences in managerial position with relevant experience. Having working experience in camps or relevant area is expected. (Woman will be given special priority)
∎ Working in WASH for at least 3 years in camp experience is preferable.
∎ Have experience in project cycle management.
∎ General knowledge of protection, community resilience or social accountability models of governance, refugee issues, human rights - technical knowledge in any or all these sectors is an advantage.
∎ Experience in budget monitoring, logistics, procurement, planning and management of field operations.
∎ Ability to work in high pressure and high security risk situations and be able to adapt to rapidly changing contexts.
∎ Ability to maintain performance expectations in diverse cultural contexts, psychologically stressful environments, and physical hardship conditions with limited resources.
∎ Have proficiency in computer skills of Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
∎ Good knowledge of water and sanitation issues, and hygiene practices.
∎ Good knowledge of Community mobilization and sensitizations and skills transfer.
∎ English: fluency in the language expected to work independently using the language required, to prepare a variety of written communications (correspondence, reports, working papers, etc.) to participate actively in meetings and in work related discussions.
∎ Team spirit, community mobilization and problem-solving skills
∎ Good communication and coordination skills and able to work effectively in a diverse team environment
∎ Ability to engage with local and international agencies.
∎ Able to problem-solving and identify resources in the environment and shows persistence when faced with difficult problems or challenges.
∎ Should be self-driven and positive to work in a team.
∎ Should have "can do' attitude and able to handle multiple tasks managing priorities
∎ Committed to work following organizational aims, values, principal, and policies.
∎ Age : Maximum 40 years (as on 30.03.2022)

Salary:
∎ BDT 75,000 per month
