Job Responsibilities:
∎ Prepare area specific implementation plan as per project's goal and objectives for the installation of WTPs/ETPs and communicating with stakeholders' (entrepreneurs, factory owners, communities, etc.) for mobilization on creating demand.
∎ Create awareness on crisis of access to safe drinking water and protecting environment from pollution through organizing effective campaign for mobilizing stakeholders' including government agencies at local level.
∎ Primarily select appropriate location/sites considering the local WASH situation, geo-hydrological mapping and clients (Water entrepreneurs/factory owners) for installation WTPs and ETPs with modern technological solutions.
∎ Assess the local WASH situation, identify water crisis areas and polluted areas with industrial effluent, create demand of the community people about using safe water including water safety plan (WSP).
∎ Support the project partners (Grundfos/Panta Rei/nominated representatives) and clients (Water entrepreneurs/ factory/industry owners) in installation of WTPs/ETPs including establish linkage with financial institution/BRAC Micro finance for getting loan and develop as sustainable supply chain through SMEs for smooth operation, O&M of WTPs/ETPs.
∎ Explore interested WTP and ETP entrepreneurs including women and youth for sustainable business and develop water vendors to distribute treated water to the unserved communities.
∎ Regularly visit field activities, collect field progress data regularly and share information with the respective authority and prepare report as needed and sent to the authority.
∎ Assist to organize and conduct training, workshop, seminar, and forum at district, upazila and Union/Ward level and preserve all kinds of records & documents and share to the authority as needed.
∎ Maintains liaison with concerned stakeholders (Government Departments, LGIs, Private sector, non-government organizations, elites, etc.), Financial Institution/BRAC Micro Finance and other stakeholders at local level for promoting safe drinking water and sustainable environment.
∎ Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 18 years
∎ Computer skill on MS, good communication skill on both Bangla and English
∎ Good Understanding about poverty, livelihoods and different social issues of Bangladesh.
∎ Self Motivated and identify problems and solving problems at early stage
