Job Responsibilities:
∎ PRODUCTION SCHEDULE MANAGEMENT: Maintain detailed production schedules for multiple buyer orders placed in different factories, considering factors such as order quantity, product complexity, lead times, and supplier capacity.
∎ ORDER COORDINATION: Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth order placement and timely execution. Facilitate effective communication between all stakeholders to address any production-related queries or issues.
∎ CAPACITY PLANNING: Analyze production capacities of various suppliers and factories, taking into account their capabilities and limitations. Allocate orders strategically to optimize production efficiency and meet delivery deadlines.
∎ QUALITY CONTROL AND COMPLIANCE: Collaborate with the Technical & Compliance teams to ensure quality control measures throughout the production process. Ensure that all products adhere to client specifications and relevant industry standards.
∎ RISK ASSESSMENT AND MITIGATION: Identify potential production risks and challenges and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions. Proactively address any issues that may impact production timelines.
∎ VENDOR MANAGEMENT: Build and maintain strong network of relationships with suppliers and factories, ensuring they are aware of production requirements, and monitor their performance to meet the company's quality and ethical standards.
∎ COST ANALYSIS: Collaborate with the Merchandising and Sourcing teams to analyze production costs and pricing to ensure competitive quotations for clients and profitability for the buying house.
∎ REPORTING AND DOCUMENTATION: Prepare regular production status reports, providing insights into order progress, potential delays, and resolution plans. Maintain accurate and organized documentation for each production order.
∎ CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT: Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency enhancement in the production planning and execution process. Implement best practices to drive continuous improvement.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 28 years
∎ Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
∎ Proven experience (at least 7-10 years) in production planning and management, preferably within a buying house environment in Bangladesh.
∎ In-depth knowledge of garment production processes, including cut and sew, sourcing, and quality control.
∎ Familiarity with compliance and industry standards in the garment manufacturing sector.
∎ Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with excellent attention to detail.
∎ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
∎ Proficiency in production planning tools, ERP systems, and MS Office applications.
∎ Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
∎ Fluency in English and Bengali, both written and spoken.
