Experience:
Age At least 30-48 years
7–14 years of experience in production planning in a manufacturing/garments factory
Minimum 3–5 years in a managerial/supervisory role
Strong knowledge of production planning and control (PPC)
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Good understanding of capacity planning and line balancing
Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and planning software

Job Summary
The Production Planning & Control Manager is responsible for developing, executing, and controlling production plans to ensure on-time delivery, optimum capacity utilization, and efficient use of resources. The role coordinates with merchandising, production, supply chain, warehouse, and quality teams to maintain smooth workflow and achieve company production targets.
Key Responsibilities:
· Prepare monthly, weekly, and daily production plans for woven garments based on buyer orders, shipment schedules, and factory capacity
· Develop style-wise and line-wise production loading plans for cutting, sewing, washing, finishing, and packing sections
· Coordinate with merchandising to review order details, T&A calendar, delivery dates, and production feasibility
· Plan capacity based on SMV, line efficiency, manpower availability, and machine capability to ensure realistic scheduling
· Ensure timely availability of fabric, trims, and accessories in coordination with the sourcing and warehouse teams
· Monitor cutting plans, sewing input/output, finishing status, and shipment readiness to maintain smooth workflow
· Track production progress daily and compare plan vs. actual to ensure on-time shipment (OTIF)
· Identify production bottlenecks in cutting, sewing, washing, or finishing and take immediate corrective actions
· Maintain proper WIP control between processes to avoid overproduction or shortages
· Coordinate with IE for line balancing, capacity optimization, and productivity improvement
· Work closely with quality and production teams to minimize rework, alterations, and rejection that may affect delivery
· Prioritize urgent or critical styles and manage rescheduling when there are changes in buyer requirements or delays
· Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports including efficiency, output, capacity utilization, and shipment status
· Support subcontracting or outsourcing planning when internal capacity is insufficient
· Implement lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce lead time and operational costs
· Lead and supervise the planning team to ensure accurate data tracking and effective coordination with all departments
· Conduct regular meetings with cross-functional teams to review production status and solve operational issues
· Ensure compliance with factory policies, safety standards, and buyer requirements
· Support management in achieving production targets, on-time delivery, and overall business goals
