Experience:
Bachelor's/Master's degree in Textile Engineering, Apparel Manufacturing, or a related field from a recognized university/institute.
Diploma in Textile/Garments Technology with relevant experience may also be considered.
8–12 years of experience in a similar position in the knit garments/apparel manufacturing industry.
Hands-on experience in handling 100% knit items (T-shirts, Polo shirts, Sweaters/fleece, etc.) for reputed buyers preferred.
Prior experience as Production Manager, Sr. Manager (Production) is preferred.
Additional Job Requirements

Strong leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills.
Sound knowledge of garment manufacturing processes, SMV/SAM, line balancing, and lean manufacturing techniques.
Good understanding of buyer compliance requirements (Accord, BSCI, WRAP, Sedex, etc.).
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP/production tracking software.
Excellent communication skills in English and Bengali.
Must be willing to work under pressure to meet shipment deadlines.
A reputed knit garments manufacturing company is looking for an experienced and result-oriented Production Manager to oversee the entire knitting, dyeing/finishing (if applicable), cutting, sewing, and finishing operations to ensure timely, quality production in line with buyer requirements.
Job Responsibilities
Plan, organize, and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly production targets in line with buyer delivery schedules and approved sample/specifications.
Expert in Knit garments layout plan & target production.
Should Here knowledge of calculating CM/Execution.
Oversee the full production cycle — cutting, sewing, finishing, and packing — ensuring smooth workflow and minimum downtime.
Coordinate with Merchandising, Planning, Cutting, and Quality departments to ensure on-time order execution and shipment.
Monitor line efficiency, productivity (SMV/SAM analysis), and take corrective action to reduce wastage and rejection rates.
Ensure compliance with buyer quality standards (AQL), and work closely with QA/QC teams to minimize defects and re-work.
Conduct daily production review meetings with line chiefs, supervisors, and floor in-charges to address bottlenecks.
Manage manpower planning, balancing, and allocation across sewing lines based on order requirements and skill matrix.
Ensure proper maintenance and timely repair of machines in coordination with the Maintenance department to avoid production loss.
Monitor and control fabric/trims/accessories consumption and coordinate with the Store and Cutting sections to avoid shortages.
Prepare and analyze daily production reports (DPR), efficiency reports, and present to senior management/factory head.
Ensure compliance with social, safety, and labor law requirements (e.g., Accord/Alliance, BSCI, WRAP, or buyer-specific code of conduct).
Coordinate with HR & Admin for recruitment, training, discipline, and welfare of production staff and workers.
Ensure proper documentation, records, and reporting for internal audits and buyer inspections.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity, reduce costs, and improve on-time shipment performance.
