Experience:
Bachelor's/Master's degree in Textile Engineering, Industrial & Production Engineering, or a related field from a recognized university/institute.
MBA or relevant management qualification will be considered an added advantage.
12–18 years of progressive experience in the garments/ accessories manufacturing industry, with at least 3–5 years in a Factory Manager or equivalent senior leadership role.
Age 38 to 50 years (adjust as per company policy).
Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making capability.
In-depth knowledge of garment manufacturing processes, costing, productivity (SMV/SAM), and lean manufacturing.
Sound knowledge of buyer compliance standards, local labor law, and factory safety regulations.
Excellent crisis management, negotiation, and people-management skills.
Strong command of English and Bengali, both written and verbal.
Proficiency in MS Office, ERP, and production monitoring software.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
A reputed knit garments & accessories manufacturing company is looking for a highly experienced and dynamic Factory Manager to take overall responsibility for factory operations, practicing rules regulation in compliance way good knowledge of audit and administration, ensuring efficient, profitable, and compliant manufacturing in line with buyer and management expectations.
Job Responsibilities
Take full responsibility for overall factory operations including production, maintenance, quality, compliance, HR/Admin, store, and security functions.
Set, monitor, and achieve factory-wide production targets (daily/weekly/monthly) in line with buyer delivery schedules and company business plans.
Oversee Maintenance, and Store & Security heads to ensure coordinated and efficient factory functioning.
Review and approve production planning, capacity booking, and manpower/machine allocation across all sections.
Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials to achieve maximum productivity at minimum cost.
Drive continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce wastage across the factory.
Ensure compliance with buyer codes of conduct (Accord/Alliance/RSC, BSCI, WRAP, Sedex, etc.), local labor law, and social/environmental compliance requirements.
Monitor factory-wide quality performance, defect rates, and customer complaints, and implement corrective/preventive measures.
Oversee maintenance of machinery, utilities (generator, boiler, compressor), and factory infrastructure to ensure uninterrupted production.
Control and monitor factory budget, costing, and overhead expenses; identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or compliance.
Prepare and present periodic MIS reports (production, efficiency, compliance, cost) to top management/Managing Director.
Ensure factory health, safety, fire, and environmental standards are maintained as per local law and buyer requirements.
Develop and implement strategies for capacity expansion, new line setup, or technology upgrades as per business growth plans.
