∎ JOB PURPOSE: To provide eye care services from the vision center through teleconsultation with the Ophthalmologist of Base Hospital/ BRAC eye care doctors.
∎ SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme`s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Day to day management of the eye patients.
∎ Provide ophthalmic check-up including eye examination through trial set, slit lamp and other ophthalmic equipment.
∎ Follow strictly the clinical protocol developed by the project.
∎ Provide telemedicine services to each patients.
∎ Provide refraction services and dispending appropriate medicine and spectacles.
∎ Enter the patients' information to the Vision Centre Management (VCM) software
∎ Maintain online performance report on daily basis (or as per the management requirement)
∎ Communicate to the respective person of the hospital for teleconsultation services
∎ Provide effective counseling to the patients for completion of services
∎ Involve in day-to-day fund management of vision centre
∎ Inform to the AM for any problem facing in daily operation of the center
Additional Requirements:
∎ Good skill in handling ophthalmic equipment to examine eyes.
∎ Communication skills in the community.
∎ Skill in basic computer operations.
∎ Sound knowledge on the technical issues of eye care.
∎ Rapport building.
∎ 1 year of experience in eyecare sector.
