Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Develop daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on customer orders, sales forecasts, forecasted demand, and inventory levels.
∎ Prepare machine-wise production schedules aligned with item categories, delivery deadlines, and available machine capacity.
∎ Execute and monitor resource planning activities, ensuring effective allocation of machines, manpower, and materials.
∎ Ensure maximum utilization of resources, especially machines, with minimal changeover time between product categories.
∎ Monitor production progress and adjust schedules proactively to manage delays, equipment issues, or supply chain disruptions.
∎ Verify feasibility and efficiency of the planning model, making necessary modifications based on operational realities.
∎ Collaborate with procurement, warehouse, production, and maintenance teams to ensure material availability and smooth workflow.
∎ Coordinate with quality control to ensure production outputs meet all quality and compliance standards.
∎ Communicate regularly with sales and customer service teams regarding order status, lead times, and delivery timelines.
∎ Track actual vs. planned performance, identify gaps, and take corrective actions to meet production and delivery targets.
∎ Analyze planning and production data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
∎ Maintain accurate records of production schedules, material consumption, and inventory levels.
∎ Generate and present reports on capacity utilization, planning performance, machine changeovers, and workflow improvements.
∎ Support digitalization and automation initiatives to modernize and streamline the planning function.
∎ Maintain effective cross-functional communication with all stakeholders to ensure alignment, accountability, and issue resolution.
