Experience:
Bachelor’s degree preferably in any discipline preferably in Social science/Social welfare/ Psychology/Anthropology/Law/Gender studies
Clear Understanding of the issues the project has to work on.
Clear understanding of life skill curriculum, girls shine preferable.
Knowledge of current development and emergency issues.
Good conceptual and practical skills in case management and information management system.
Good knowledge and skills in forecasting and budgeting.
The baseline survey, Evaluation, and Monitoring process and tools.
Good facilitation skills in Training, Seminars, and Advocacy programs.
Proven management and leadership ability.
Good communication and networking skills.
Chittagong/Rohingya language skills will be a strong consideration.
Good command of English & Bengali, both written and verbal.
Decision-making and conflict-resolution skills.
Competent in using MS Word, MS Excel, and PowerPoint presentation.
Ability to work under stressful conditions and adapt to local culture and situation
The Officer-Youth and skills development will be primarily responsible for supporting all aspects of Adolescent girls, boys, & youth for greater impact in the community in changing positive norms, beliefs, and cultures. The position holder will act for training, modules, schedule development, and contextualization of the life skill curriculum along with activities operation through guiding principles. She will supervise the life skill session in the field and ensure advocacy with different stakeholders. He/She will lead the engagement of adolescents and youth in the program according to project documents, WV International, and inter-agency guidelines.
Project Implementation & Management:
Prepare work plan according to the program document and WV policy and maintain it strictly.
Adhere to and dedicatedly promote the women-, girl- and survivor-centered support approach, and the GBV guiding principles.
Consult and work with adolescent girls in the Centers to identify their needs, interests, and priorities, and what's important to them, and where possible, adapt activities according to these to ensure activities offered are culturally appropriate and meet the needs of adolescent’s girls
Work in liaison with CiC, Camp management agencies, service providers, community leaders, and other stakeholders to ensure effective project implementation.
Build positive, productive, trusting connections with adolescent girls, their parents/careers and their communities, ensuring to maintain professional boundaries and humanitarian ethics at all times.
Strictly adhere to GBV guiding principles while engaging with AG and their parents/caregivers.
Supervise and capacitate mentors formally and informally to provide quality life skill sessions through training, daily mentoring, weekly meeting, and applying regular knowledge and skills assessment tools.
Conduct Adolescent Girls Programming-related capacity-building training for mentors, community leaders, implementing partners, and parents/caregivers.
Coordinate with relevant officers, and psychologist for smooth implementation of life skill base curriculum at WGSS.
Directly engage with adolescent girls and parents as required, and work with mentors to ensure the quality of the program
Build a relationship with all relevant GBV program stakeholders, community leaders, and parents/caregivers in the camp and the local community to encourage greater communication, collaboration, and coordination.
Prepare events reports, activity reports, monthly, and quarterly progress, and narrative report in collaboration with Coordinator and project manager.
Take full responsibility for documentation of Youth and Skill activities.
Technical and Capacity building:
Enhance and train prevention officers, case management officers’ hosts, and Rohingya volunteers on different life skill curricula.
Conduct capacity-building training on COC, and other curricula according to need.
Build positive, productive, trusting connections with adolescent girls, their parents/careers, and their communities, ensuring to maintain of professional boundaries and humanitarian ethics at all times.
Assist with dignity kit distributions, appropriate messaging, and feedback from adolescent girls on dignity kits and other discretionary items provided
Partnership, Networking & Advocacy:
Establish and liaise closely with other partners, agencies, and local leaders regarding project activities to ensure a coordinated approach to project implementation, including participation in relevant workshops, and meetings and to keep the coordinator informed.
Participate in interagency assessments.
Financial Management Budget Control and Monitoring:
Prepare sub-project proposals, purchase requests, and relevant documents in advance to facilitate the implementation of planned activities
Track and manage project budget lines assigned
Maintaining effective communication with finance, and supply chain for smooth implementation of activities. proposals, making sure they match with the program objectives and donors' requirements.
