∎ Job Location : BRAC Field Office
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Monthly work plan preparation and implementation in accordance with the plan.
∎ Daily / weekly monitoring of water to ensure safe water at schools that meets WHO standards for human consumption
∎ Organise awareness and education campaigns on best practices in handling of water households
∎ Carry out regularly the water quality testing and other relevant analysis and report immediately if there is any suspect of contamination
∎ Ensure the overall Water Quality Laboratory remained functional
∎ Monthly inventory of the water quality laboratory supplies and prepare report to the team lead
∎ Order the necessary supplies and items that important to keep the laboratory functional
∎ Assist the Team Lead in designing water safety planning
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 1 year of working experience in relevant field
∎ Good knowledge of water and sanitation issues, and hygiene practice
∎ Must have good knowledge on microorganism and microbial analytical job
∎ Must have sound knowledge in routine lab analysis
∎ Communication skill both in Bengali and English
∎ Computer Literacy (MS-Word, Excel, power point etc.)
∎ Excellent data collection, data compilation and Sample determinations skills
∎ Excellent analytical ability and problem-solving skills
∎ Must have ability to build capacity in team members and other stakeholders
