Job Context:
∎ Swisscontact is inviting applications from qualified candidates for the position of Officer - Finance for the PROGRESS project that addresses skills development and environmental and social compliance needs of the RMG sector. The project will support selected RMG factories in Bangladesh to skill and upskill their existing workers as well as improve the environmental and social standards. We are looking for a detail-oriented, punctual and organised Officer - Business Administration (BA) to support the Manager - BA with day-to-day transaction for implementation of the project`s finance related tasks.
∎ Contract duration: Initial contract of one year with the possibility of extension for another three years.
∎ Place of work: Dhaka with occasional field visits.

∎ OFFICER - BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION PROMOTING GREEN GROWTH IN THE RMG SECTOR THROUGH SKILLS (PROGRESS)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Executing the procurement, logistics and HR functions ensuring compliance with Swisscontact's and donor's policies and regulations.
∎ Ensuring Value for Money (VfM) in all procurements as procurement responsible.
∎ Scheduling and coordinating deliveries with vendors and subcontractors.
∎ Preparing and updating vendor lists.
∎ Communicating and maintaining positive relationships with vendors.
∎ Working with suppliers to know product availability and ensuring competitive pricing.
∎ Communicating current pricing and availability to the Manager - Business Administration.
∎ Assisting the Manager - BA in preparing accurate and timely invoices.
∎ Assisting the programme team in developing and maintaining/filing all documents as well as monitoring programme's compliance with established procedures.
∎ Managing logistics related to vehicles and staff travel (transportation, accommodation, security, etc.).
∎ Managing different internal and external events.
∎ Track vehicle registration, fitness and insurance and ensure these are always renewed in a timely manner.
∎ Ensure insurance of Vehicles
∎ Executing all HR functions from recruitment to separation.
∎ Collaborating with Country HR and Procurement responsible to ensure unified compliance mechanisms utilized.
∎ Ensuring the quality of deliverables are in line with the standards set by the organization and the programme.
∎ Assisting the supervisor in the overall quality assurance of all procurement, logistics and HR policies and procedures.
∎ Supporting Manager - BA in mentoring, coaching and capacity development of sector teams, partners, and subcontractors particularly with regards to effective Procurement and logistics management along with HR compliance.
∎ Supporting the Manager - BA on compliance reviews and checks, particularly in the areas of procurement, logistics and administrative activities of the programme.
∎ Performing any other duty(s) in line with the roles and responsibilities provided, as/when assigned by the supervisor and or by the Team Leader.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Passionate and committed about developing a career within Swisscontact.
∎ Minimum 1-3 years of progressive professional experience in any field (private sector/research agencies preferred).
∎ Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Bangla.
∎ Excellent computer literacy in MS Office programmes (specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
∎ Is a team player but also has the ability to work independently with limited supervision.
∎ Excellent organisational skills and ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
∎ Demonstrates curiosity to learn and acquire knowledge from vastly different sources.
∎ Results orientated and good reporting skills.
∎ Attentive to details and quality of work.
∎ Works with trustworthiness and integrity and is committed to Swisscontact's core values.
∎ Demonstrates awareness and sensitivity to gender and diversity (including sensitivity towards people with disability).
