Education:

• Bachelor of Social Science (BSS)

• Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, International Development and, or related field. A Master’s degree in a relevant field is an advantage.

• Age At most 50 years

• 3-5 years of experience in programme monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning in development or humanitarian settings.
• Demonstrated experience in designing, conducting, and managing programme evaluations, including both qualitative and quantitative methods.
• Familiarity with CRM systems, safeguarding practices, and data protection protocols.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in using M&E tools, frameworks, and data collection systems.
• Expertise in data analysis, report writing, and using data management software (e.g., Excel and Kobo Toolbox).
• Personal Attributes:
• Analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Attention to detail, with a commitment to data accuracy and quality assurance.
• Professionalism, integrity, and discretion in handling sensitive program data.

Line Authority/ Reportable:

Work directly under the technical supervision of the Global MEAL Desk. However, the MEAL Coordinator would be directly reportable to Country Director for Administrative issues and must be abided by the Country (Bangladesh Country) policy, rules and regulation.

Job Purpose:

The Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and managing the monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning (MEAL) processes of the programms in Bangladesh. This role ensures that programme activities are systematically monitored, assessed, and reported. The MEAL Coordinator will directly contribute to programme quality by providing data, analysis of data and recommendations for improving the effectiveness and impact of interventions. The role includes regular coordination with the Global MEAL Desk at the Global Operations Development Department to ensure alignment with organizational MEAL standards and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Organize and facilitate progress review meetings with programme teams to assess the status of programme activities, identify challenges, and recommend corrective actions.
• Plan, execute, and report on regular process monitoring visits to programme areas to assess the implementation and effectiveness of activities in the intervention areas.
• Conduct the data collection for projects/programme evaluation and research studies to assess the effectiveness, efficiency, relevance, and impact of the programmes interventions.
• Roll out Complaint Response Mechanism (CRM) in programme area, including the dissemination of Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials.
• Implementation of the Muslim Hands safeguarding mechanism to ensure the safety and rights of beneficiaries.
• Identify and document programme success stories and case studies that demonstrate programme impact and lessons learned.
• Ensure regular updates to the Strategy Tracker and collaborate with the team to ensure consistency in the data collection and reporting process.
• Ensure all programme related activities are align with the organization's global result framework, standards, and best practices.
• Work directly under the technical supervision of the Global MEAL Desk to ensure that MEAL practices and procedures are consistently followed across the programme, including data collection methods, baselines-endline studiies, indicator tracking, and evaluations.
• Any other task assigned by the supervisor.
