Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Textile Engineering, Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Merchandising
Experience Requirements:
∎ 10 to 15 year(s)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
Buying House, Garments
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Lead and deal with the Buyers independently for all the merchandising activities including marketing, sales, instant price quotation, negotiation and sourcing
∎ Arrange all kinds of fabrics & accessories both from local and foreign sources as required for sampling and production by leading a team effectively
∎ Keep liaison with Buyer for all the merchandising activities like order booking, processing, order follow up & export planning.
∎ Maintain various documents (buyer wise, style wise, order wise)
∎ Very Strong Knowledge on costing, price negotiation, sourcing of fabrics, accessories & any other material local & import
∎ Regular monitoring of the production lines/factories to achieve for timely shipment
∎ Daily basis update to divisional head & others concerns in own accord
∎ Follow up the order by using the Order Follow-up System and use deadlines as a help to keep track of order status.
∎ Understand supplier capability in terms of price, quality, capacity and lead time
∎ Independently prepare Time and Action (T&A) plans & Follow up accordingly
∎ Monitor the production status and progress, solve the related issue
∎ Follow up on Developments, Samples and Production with a high degree of personal responsibility
∎ Monitoring of overall activities of suppliers, commercial, shipping, quality checking of goods, etc.
∎ Make sure smooth production and shipment on time
∎ Work close with production units to ensure what buyer requires
∎ Any other responsibilities assigned by the management
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 30 to 40 years
∎ Minimum 10 years' experience including 5 years' minimum experience as Manager in Merchandising
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s): Children Wear
∎ Strong interpersonal skills, ability to interact and build relationships work as a team.
∎ Should be well-groomed, smart, and energetic.
∎ Strong presentation and delivery skills.
∎ Strong attention to detail and accuracy, aiming for perfection.
∎ Excellent written and verbal communication both in Bangla and English
∎ IT proficiency - advanced level skill is a MUST in MS Office package (Especially PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook).
∎ Should be proactive and dynamic, ability to work hard efficiently.
∎ Ability to multitask and remain organized, meet deadlines.
