Job Responsibilities:
∎ Independently execute product development, understand latest fashion trends, source new yarns and develop customer specific collections
∎ Ensure smooth communications with customers and suppliers on day-to-day merchandising activities and approvals
∎ Continuously update the fabrics, trims, print embroideries, washes and stitch library including technical data and price idea for easy reference
∎ Understand customer requirements and closely work with Vendors to manage the correct samples within time and quality
∎ Set priorities, develop a work schedule, and monitor progress towards goals, and track details, data, information and activities
∎ Ensure production and samples follow up with factories and related procedures
∎ Communicate with buyers on day-to-day merchandising activities and approvals
∎ Prepare the QA files for on time handover for both buyer and QA
∎ Source trims, accessories, and fabrics (both overseas and local)
∎ Prepare costing sheets with all the necessary breakdowns from factories
∎ Arrange lab dip, trims, bulk fabric color, and quality testing for customer approval
∎ Work closely with the fabric mills and suppliers ahead of design packs to develop new fabrics and finishes to reduce lead time
∎ Follow-up TNA on regular basis to ensure on-time delivery with right quality and quantity
∎ Visit factories regularly to get market intelligence
∎ Coordinate and monitor quality of the product through quality personnel
∎ Place forwarder booking through logistics and monitor the shipment of the products
∎ Understand ethical behavior and business practices and ensure own behavior and the behavior of others is consistent with these standards and aligns with the values of the organization
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 22 to 38 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Must have at last4-5 years experience in the merchandising (100% Export Factory/Buying House) field.
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Buying House , Garments
∎ Skill in e-mail, MS Word, Excel and other computer applications.
∎ Be able to read, write and speak fluent English
∎ Should have strong communication and analytical skills
∎ Applicants should be capable to work independently
∎ Able to communicate in English with higher management (foreigner).
∎ Must have sufficient knowledge in costing, consumption and raw material sourcing in Sweater
∎ Strong knowledge in English for both writing and speaking.
