∎ Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Textile Engineering

∎ At least 5 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Sourcing and Vendor Management:
∎ Identify and develop relationships with reputable denim suppliers and manufacturers.
∎ Inquiry of price & arrangement of all fabric & trims from local and overseas supplier for new requests to quote price & sampling
∎ Monitor supplier performance and compliance to maintain product quality and reliability.
∎ Calculate style wise costing, consumption and negotiate the price with buyer.
∎ Product Development and Sampling:
∎ Collaborate with Buyers to understand their specific denim product requirements.
∎ Coordinate the product development process, including fabric selection, design, and sampling.
∎ Sample development and follow up from quotation sample to production sample
∎ Responsible for price quotation, source fabric & trims from local and overseas to develop new sample.
∎ Attend PP meeting and provide technical solution to quality and production dept. when needed.
∎ Oversee sample approvals, ensuring they meet Buyer expectations and quality standards.
∎ Production Management:
∎ Order execution and follow up from order receive to shipment
∎ Coordinate with suppliers to ensure efficient production, maintaining quality control throughout.
∎ Co-ordinate capacity management by validating the offered capacity and escalate upfront if there are overbooked capacity issue.
∎ Review daily production status and foresee any upcoming issues/ problems for proper execution of orders and to ensure on time shipment with right quality & quantity.
∎ Buyer Communication:
∎ Ensure effective communication between Buyers and internal teams to meet Buyer expectations.
∎ Proactively handle Buyer feedback and concerns to maintain Buyer satisfaction.
∎ Cost Management:
∎ Manage the budget for denim sourcing, production, and related activities.
∎ Seek opportunities to optimize costs while maintaining product quality and Buyer expectations
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 26 years
∎ Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Textile Engineering, or a related field.
∎ Proven work experience (5+ years) in merchandising, specifically experience in denim products will be preferred.
∎ In-depth knowledge of the apparel industry, outerwear products, production processes, and market trends.
∎ Strong negotiation and vendor management skills with a track record of successful supplier relationships.
∎ Excellent organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
∎ Analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail to ensure quality standards and cost control.
∎ Proficiency in MS Office applications and relevant ERP software.
∎ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
∎ Fluency in English and Bengali, both written and spoken.
