Job Responsibilities:
∎ Develop and implement a compliance framework within the bank and development of a comprehensive compliance repository capturing, inter-alia, the regulatory extracts, policies and procedures for effective compliance, compliance risks and the corresponding controls etc. by conducting compliance review exercises;
∎ Follow up/monitor compliance with the regulatory guidelines and circulars;
∎ Track compliance with regulatory guidelines and circulars;
∎ Liaise with different departments and personnel for smooth collection of the compliance status of relevant regulations;
∎ Review compliance procedures by performing sufficient and representative compliance review to determine compliance of the system with internal/external standards and creation of monitoring mechanism;
∎ Address queries and clarifications on regulatory interpretations;
∎ Develop an effective communication process that will allow smooth compliance of relevant regulations in different departments and personnel;
∎ Carry out a compliance risk assessment review to identify and assess major compliance risks faced by the bank;
∎ Preparation of quarterly report on the compliance position of the bank including compliance risks, compliance failures/ breaches/ non-compliance with regulatory guidelines/ administrative actions initiated against the bank to be placed before the Head of ICC/ BAC/ BOD;
∎ Escalation of issues to Enterprise Risk Associate Forum (ERAF), Enterprise Risk Governance Forum (ERGF);
∎ Strictly maintain the confidentiality of compliance activities;
∎ Any other job assigned by management
Additional Requirements:
∎ Credibility as a subject matter expert and minimum 5+ years of work experience (experience in compliance/risk management roles will be given priority);
∎ Knowledge of local regulatory requirements and obligations and the ability to identify emerging compliance issues and themes;
∎ Experience in working with key country-level regulators and industry associations;
∎ Excellent communication skills with strong analytical ability;
∎ Passion for exceeding stakeholders' expectations;
∎ Ability to lead a dynamic team independently and adaptive to changes;
∎ Proficient in customer-centricity, results-oriented and self-propelled.
