Job Context:
∎ Maintaining Access to Safe Water and Sanitation for Rohingyas in Bangladesh Project.
∎ The key purpose of this position is responsible for the delivery and management of technical expertise, ensuring high quality and timely inputs, and for ensuring standard of project activities and its strategic vision for attaining project objectives and goals result in the achievement of its intended outputs in a cost effective and timely manner.S/he will also closely work with operations unit at Cox`s Bazar, WaSH cluster, relevant government officials, non-government and civil society organizations.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Provide technical guidance and support to project coordinator on all water supply related issues, to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, sustainability and impact soundness in the implementation and in accordance with standards and priorities.
∎ Lead the delivery of water supply services for humanitarian response to meet the standards and maintaining the quality.
∎ Responsible for Overall water supply system operation and maintenance in target area.
∎ Technical supervision and cross-checking of relevant hardware construction materials before installation with specifications, drawing, design quality and quantity.
∎ Responsible for feasibility survey, design, prepare the estimation of quantities and cost detailed drawings and other necessary documents of relevant construction works.
∎ Act as a focal point for water supply issues within NGO Forum and liaise with UN and international agencies, Government and Non-governmental counterparts.
∎ Maintain up-to-date records of all field level activities to show a status of the work, the status of construction materials, equipment at store and construction site.
∎ Attend various internal and external meetings regarding engineering topics or issues and respond to questions and inquiries from various individuals, groups, and organizations regarding engineering issues.
∎ Perform any other related duties or responsibilities that may be assigned by the project team.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 28 to 50 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Practical work experience water supply and management along with water distribution network, surface water treatment and management and work experience in cox's bazar
∎ (preferable).
∎ Team management - Ability to work under limited supervision - Dynamism - Good report writing ability - Computer skills (Have strong knowledge of AutoCAD, WaterGEMS, GIS, MS Office).
∎ Professional work experience in different WASH project implementation, monitoring, operation and reporting.
∎ Strong working experience in the design, construction and supervision of water supply infrastructure.
∎ Good communication and networking skills both in Bangla & English.
Salary: Tk. 99813 (Monthly)
