Educational Requirements:
∎ Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/Furniture Manufacturing.
Experience Requirements:
∎ 15 to 20 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Ability to identify specie defect characteristics by grade
∎ Demonstrate grading, handling and repairing techniques while meeting production expectations
∎ Ability to describe and identify all cuts and matching
∎ Understanding of veneer handling, storage, warehouse humidification needs and warehouse organization
∎ Maintains a working knowledge of veneer specifications
∎ Communicates timely updates of vendor issues and concerns
∎ Ensure all incoming veneer specifications are met
∎ Works daily with schedulers to coordinate veneer flows
∎ Able to demonstrate veneer grading, determine dimensional grade of flitch
∎ Working knowledge of all veneer production
∎ Must have a good work history.
∎ Must be able to past pre-employment testing.
∎ Previous manufacturing experience is required.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 40 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Should have sound knowledge on spoken & written English.
