Job Specification

To oversee and manage the entire fleet of vehicles, ensuring efficient and cost-effective transportation operations. The Transport Manager will be responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling all aspects of the transportation function, including vehicle maintenance, driver management, route optimization, and compliance with transportation regulations.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Oversee the maintenance and repair of all company vehicles.

• Implement a preventive maintenance schedule to minimize breakdowns and operational downtime.

• Monitor vehicle performance and fuel consumption to identify areas for improvement.

• Ensure compliance with all relevant road safety regulations and licensing requirements.

• Monitor driver performance, including driving hours, accident records, and adherence to company policies.

• Manage driver schedules and rosters to optimize resource utilization.

• Develop and implement efficient transportation plans to meet the company`s delivery and pickup requirements.

• Implement cost-saving measures, such as fuel-efficient driving techniques and load optimization.

• Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations, including safety standards and environmental regulations.

• Maintain accurate records and documentation to support compliance and auditing requirements.
