∎ BRAC Bank is currently looking for an ambitious, intelligent, goal-oriented, enthusiastic individual for the following position in its Risk Management Division:
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Review and analyze credit proposals of the corporate segment in both qualitative and quantitative ways to assess creditworthiness and risks in a respective business transaction;
∎ Practice detailed risk analysis and mitigation process by policy guidelines, bank's risk appetite, and business plan;
∎ Ensure identification of risks and development of mitigation strategy after consultation with related stakeholders of the proposal to preserve the asset quality;
∎ Brief the management and credit committee on credit proposals and risks/benefits associated with each of the proposals;
∎ Create reports on the results of implemented strategies, using all appropriate quantitative methods and MIS, and make recommendations to increase efficiencies and revenue while managing credit risk and produce those reports regularly (portfolio analytics);
∎ Ensure compliance with internal policies, guidelines, and external regulatory requirements during the approval process;
∎ Ensure standard Turn-Around-Time (TAT) as advised under the bank's strategy and policy for approval;
∎ Liaise with stakeholders and manage portfolio accordingly;
∎ Monitor the quality of assigned portfolio with regular monitoring of repayment/settlement behavior and performance to ensure that the portfolio is thoroughly and conservatively valued and probable losses are adequately estimated;
∎ Conduct stress testing of own portfolio when there are significant economic or industry sector downturns, adverse market-risk events, or unfavorable liquidity conditions;
∎ Analyze the results of scenarios and stress tests, using knowledge of markets and risk exposures to construct new scenarios and interpret results;
∎ Assist in establishing and updating relevant internal lending policies and guidelines.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 10 years of banking experience with both corporate credit/ business and Treasury will be preferred;
∎ Strong knowledge of market practices with in-depth understanding of different industries, analytical skills to assess associated risks (counterparty credit risks, settlement risks, interest rate risks, etc.), and mitigating tools while protecting the interest of the bank, depositors, and investors;
∎ Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to work well in a small and dynamic team;
∎ Proactive and sound knowledge of contemporary business issues and economic aspects;
∎ Proficient in the suit of MS Office products and credit risk tools;
∎ Must be able to complete assignments in a timely and effective manner.
